Question : Reclaiming space on my ESXi server

I had a couple failed VM conversions.  When I'm looking in my datastore those failed jobs are still eating up 100's of gigs.  I try to delete these .vmdk files and get the following error:
General fault caused by file.

How can I get rid of these bogus placeholders and reclaim all my space?

Answer : Reclaiming space on my ESXi server

A possible easier way "sknoll84" is to use WinSCP (http://winscp.net/eng/download.php). Just make sure SSH is configured/enabled on your ESX server. From there, WinSCP is basically a windows directory-based GUI utility. Just browse to the directory you want and delete as you would Windows directories. Hope this helps.
