What you will want to do, is go ahead and export the data first. Then have him open Outlook on his new system and set it up for his connection with his ISP. You can look at the properties of his Outlook profile on his existing machine and you will see the login information, smtp and pop3 servers and all other relevant information for his account setup. Take screenshots of that or write them down somewhere as you will need to enter that information to setup his account on the new machine. Once you have it set up and can send and receive mail, you can then import the data from those .pst files that you created and saved...into the appropriate folders on the new Outlook profile.
