Question : VMWare Black Screen
I am having a problem with one of my virtual machines. I am running an ESXi 3.5 server and I have a problem with an XPsp3 virtual machine. I I use logmein to connect remotely to this computer and it shows offline. When I log into the ESXi console this computer console is black. All the other virtual machines on this server do not have this problem. The only way to fix it is to power off the machine through the esxi console and power it on again. Then it works normally for a while. Not sure what causes it to go black, but when it does it is unreachable even though the ESXi console still shows it running. Any ideas??
The SCSI controller is set to buslogic.
Also, I am considering upgrading this one to Windows 7. I would have to go to vista then win 7. If this issue is related to xp then hopefully this will solve the problem.
