Question : Unknown Function Name

I recently upgraded my windows from 2000 to XP.
Now when I run a query it throws the error "Unknown Function Name".  I've managed to track it down to a DSUM function.  Basically, if I run any function with D in it (DSUM, DCOUNT, etc), it throws the error.  The queries run fine on any other computer (XP or 2000), just not mine.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled office 2003, tried installing access2000, but none of this has helped.
I've done all updates on the MS website.

Has anyone come across this problem before.
