Answer : How to provide a link in e-mail to open a specific record in Access 2007 ?
You really can't do this ... an email link just points you to a specific location (either a file or URL). In order to open a specific record, you have to open an instance of Access and fire either code or a macro (neither of which a shortcut can do) ... best you can do is provide a menu option where users can easily and quickly get to their records and leave it at that. Besides, an email that can run code on a user's machine would be classified as a virus or spyware (even though that's not your intent) and most virus/spyware engines would stop this immediately
