Question : SCCM collection not updating after Office upgrade

Hi folks, here's the scenario:
SCCM 2007
I have created a collection that is meant to contain all PCs that have Office 2007 installed on them. I did this be setting up a dynamic collection where the membership rule has the criteria 'Add/Remove Programs.Display Name is equal to "Microsoft Office Standard 2007"' (yes that is the version we're using)

That collection seemed to work great and showed me everyone that was using Office 2007.

Now I've been upgrading people from Office 2003 to Office 2007 (using SCCM) but they have not been getting added to this collection.

Here are some things to note:
- the collection is set to update on a schedule (daily). I confirmed in the properties of the collection that it is updating
- the Software Inventory Client Agent is set to run on a schedule (daily). That also seems to be working.
- when I run the resource explorer on a PC that has run the upgrade, I do see references to Office 2007 in the 'Product Details' and I see that the scan has been run under 'Last Software Scan'

What I'm seeing is that my collection is not automatically updating (yes I run 'update collection membership' and refresh it. I just went into the properties of the collection and reset the 'start' time of the custom schedule for updating the collection (I set it to today). This made a few more upgraded systems appear in the collection, but these were upgraded several days ago and didn't appear through any other means .

Any idea why the collection seems to need a kick? I know there are timing issues with all of these things, but I was hoping that it would auto-update itself at least within a couple days of pushing out the update package, and without having to manually kick it like I did (by changing the start date of the update schedule).

thanks!

Answer : SCCM collection not updating after Office upgrade

It's the hardware inventory which pulls add/remove [program information. Please check the frequency of hardware inventory agent.
