Question : Internet explorer wont open - After removing rouge malware

HI Guys

( i.e = internet explorer)

500 pts up for grabs, i just have to see this one through!

OK here it is,

I've got antivirus pops all of sudden with message

" Our scan has reported that pieces of malicious spyware codes are present on your hard drive. To get rid of security threats, click here for a antivirus Pro 2010 scan "

Well after slapping my forehead then i spare and spend sometime

to run malwarebytes on safemode, then symmantec antivirus scan then reboot again back to normal mode.

That seems to work allright the pop up now gone, but i could not open i.e , it is of ver 8 btw

I've tried to reinstall it No go,

Now am on mozilla which is fine but most of my web application at work supports i.e only

so i need it badly.

Now here's the thing, i.e works fine in safe mode only.

I Love to post my HT Log over here but not sure if thats ok " ettique wise"

Awaits patiently ...

Answer : Internet explorer wont open - After removing rouge malware

Post it plese if you like.

Can we also look at the MalwareBytes log?

Also try running Combofix and attach the log here.
Please download ComboFix by sUBs:
http://download.bleepingcomputer.com/sUBs/ComboFix.exe
(If it doesn't run, re-download and rename before saving to your desktop)

You must download it to and run it from your Desktop
Now STOP all your monitoring programs (Antivirus/Antispyware, Guards and Shields) as they could easily interfere with ComboFix.
Double click combofix.exe & follow the prompts.
When finished, it will produce a log. Please save that log and attach it in your next reply by pasting it in the "Code Snippet" or "Attach File" window.
Re-enable all the programs that were disabled during the running of ComboFix..

Note:
Do not mouse-click combofix's window while it is running. That may cause it to stall.

CF disconnects your machine from the internet. The connection is automatically restored before CF completes its run. If CF runs into difficulty and terminates prematurely, the connection can be manually restored by restarting your machine.

If needed, here's the Combofix tutorial which includes the installation of the Recovery Console:
