Question : Internet selectively disconnecting in Vista after 10-15 minutes.

In essence I am trying to solve an internet connection issue with my Vista 32-bit Asus laptop. I have seen this problem happening to many people and have come across many solutions. I am running an Asus F3K Laptop and using an ethernet connection to connect to the internet at my home. I have tested the router and it supposedly is compatible with Vista. The connection seems to drop out after about 15 minutes although occasionally it will last a couple of hours. The XP computer I own never loses its connection. . Here is a rundown of what happens:
Power saving is turned off with all internet related functions. When I startup my computer the internet connection recognizes correctly and I am able to access the internet and go to any sites without a single problem. After a period of time my browsers will stop being able to talk to new sites. The weird part is that if a connection is open and communicating then it will continue to do so after this happens and the LAN connection will show that it is still "connected" to the internet. It does not matter what the open connection is; bit torrent, youtube, netflix streaming or anything that continues a connection for sometime will continue to buffer and run after this happens. After it is done buffering, no new communications can occur (such as youtube finding videos to suggest for subsequent viewing). After researching this extensively on the internet (in 15 minute spurts *cry*) I have adjusted many of my Ethernet connection settings turning off IPv6, QOS, etc. as advised by people to fix the problem. I have tried this: http://www.experts-exchange.com/Networking/Protocols/DNS/Q_23211123.html and had no luck.
I have also tried this fix: http://www.catonett.com/blog/archives/194
and finally I have tried the windows hotfix for the similar problem to this and it does not work.
I should add:
The problems started a couple of weeks after SP1 I am using fully updated version of vista Network drivers have been updated (using vista, however) It has happened hundreds of times on the ethernet connection and a few times (although I rarely use wireless) on wireless connections. The only sure way to get the connection functioning again is to restart the computer.
Here is my Ipconfig log:
