Question : Issues with Vista Basic - Cannot get Computer to display properties
I am working on an HP Pavilion Desktop that has Vista Basic SP1 on it. The AV and Malware tools do not show any issue.
However, when I go to Computer, Right Click, then click Properties; I see a window flash on the screen and then closes. I cannot get it to open.
This is not the only thing like that. In the Control Panel, and I go to User Accounts and click on Add or remove user accounts, the circle spins for less than a second and then nothing...
If I go to CMD and enter net user administrator /active:yes
I then get the error that the user name could not be found.
If I click on the "Power Options" in the control panel. Nothing happens.
Any ideas on what is happening?
John
