Question : XBOX 360 - Salvageable Parts?
Hi fellow Experts. A friend gave me an XBOX 360 that was thrown around pretty bad...case came off, dvd drive won't open, etc. I'm not going to bother trying to replace the dvd, too much hassle for a free item. So my Q is this: What is salvageable? I know the hard drive is compatible with computers, but what else is worthwhile? RAM? CPU? Mobo? Can I take the guts and make a decent computer?
Answer : XBOX 360 - Salvageable Parts?
If for some reason you can't get a new drive to work (it's a little more complicated than just buying a new drive), I would recommed keeping it as a Media Centre.
If you have a computer with WMP on it, the 360 can stream music and videos from it.
