Question : Backups failing due to folder depth on Backup Exec

I have Backup Exec 10.5 running on a Windows 2003 server backing up a Windows 2003 Storage Server to USB and to tape.  It fails on the file server.  I have managed to get it down to three folders on our business drive.  All three happen to be managed by our teachers who really like organizing their files in folders, inside of folders, inside of folders, etc...

Some of these folder structures are 8+ deep... probably some as deep as 14.

These are the folders that make our backups fail and time out.

There are a lot of them.

Is there a GUI tool I can use that can search our file server and tell me which ones are too deep?  I need a fix because I can't copy or backup these folders like this..

Answer : Backups failing due to folder depth on Backup Exec

There is a limit of file\name paths that they can't be over 259 characters. The link below is refers to Windows 2000, but I have found it applies to all versions.
