Question : Automatic backup for the folders on network

i need to back up folders from network on my external hardrive.
right now, i manually go to the folder and copy to external hard drive evey week, let say
"DB_02/01/2010"
"DB_02/08/2010"
"DB_02/15/2010"

it includes: name of the folder and date i moved
i want to authomate that , any suggestions are welcome
The conditions:
should be able to automatically backup 7 days a week
should be not restoring poing or image, should be folder the way it appears on network
should be ablility to add date stamp, not to replace the existing one, but create new file

You would be much, much better off using a commercial backup program than trying to do this with VBA. I use Genie Backup (http://www.genie-soft.com/) and have found it to be very robust and reliable. It can copy in-use files and such, and has never let me down.
