Question : "The parameter is incorrect" when opening Access database

Hello,

I am having a strange issue on a Windows 2003 Terminal server.  If a user has an access database open, then any other user that tries to double click on the file to open it in windows explorer will get a "The parameter is incorrect" error message and the file won't open.  If the other user closes the file, then the current user can open the file just fine.  The current user can also open the database if they first open MS Access and then choose the file from within the program.  This leads me to believe it is a problem with windows explorer and not MS Access, but I have no idea.  Please help.

Mike

Answer : "The parameter is incorrect" when opening Access database

I found the answer through Microsoft.  If anyone is interested the solution is as follows:

+>Open the registry
+>Navigate to the following registry key:  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\windows\safer\codeidentifiers
+>For the ExecutableTypes Value remove .mdb from the list.
