Question : "Welcome System Account" when logging into SharePoint sites

Hi,

When I create a new web application and then create a site collection at the top it says "Welcome System Account".  How can I get it to show my username.   I am using a specfific account dedicated to "Application Pools", but it still shows "Welcome System Account".  This is really becoming a thorn in my side.  Can anyone help me out if possible?

When I try to access the site, I get a login box, I then login using "domain/username" but it still says "Welcome System Account"

Answer : "Welcome System Account" when logging into SharePoint sites

If your account is the app pool account, sharepoint will display it as the system account. I would highly recommend NOT using a standard domain user account for the app pool. You should set up a seperate account for this purpose.
