Question : Active Sync OMA won't sync / authenticate.

Please can someone help me with Active Sync connection/authentication issues.

I am trying to sync my mobile device over SSL with our 2003 exchange server.

So far I have tried rebuild IIS Virtual directories following TechNet articles, Repair Exchange and re-applying service pack 2. I have sifted through all the articles I can find that involve error message 0x85010014 that talk about permission settings in the various sub folders of IIS ( /exchage /oma /Microsoft-server-activesync /Exadmin /Exchange )

I have a feeling that my security settings in various folders are incorrect.

I will only mention tick boxes/options that are checked within the Properties/Directory Security Tab

I get this error message on my Treo when I try and connect: 0x85010014

I get this event log in the event viewer:

Answer : Active Sync OMA won't sync / authenticate.

Does the server has multiple NIC cards or Multiple IP addressess?? If so set the default web site to all unassigned and disable the NIC card that is not required.

Do you have multiple web sites running??? If so stop the other web sites and check OMA.
