Question : Windows 7 (64Bit) printing to Windows XP (32Bit) shared printer
I have a windows 7 (64Bit OS) user who is trying to setup a printer which is shared on a Windows XP (32 Bit). The Windows XP machine is connected to a HP 3055 printer via a USB cable and shared over the network through Windows.
No matter what I try we cannot setup the Printer on the Windows 7 machine as it keeps stating that it cannot connect to the printer even though we are manually pointing to the Windows 7 drivers that we downloaded and extracted from HP Website it still doesn't work. NOTE: I have downloaded the Windows 7 (32bit and 64bit) drivers and none of them are working.
NOTE: The Windows 7 user is not logged onto on the domain, however he is authenticated on the print server with a user belonging to the local administrator group of the Windows XP machine (connected to the printer)
