Does hyper v run only on 64 bit platform and windows server 2008 operating system? Or it is possible to install it on a windows server 2003 or Windws server 2008 and 32 bit platform.

Hyper-V is running on windows server 2008 or Windows server 2008 R2
You need 64bit OS, 64 bit hardware, DEP and hardware assisted virtualization.
