Question : Duplicate folders on NTFS formatted iSCSI target.

My company has a TS639Pro NAS for file storage.

On one of our servers (WIN2003 R2) we connect to the NAS via iSCSI using MS's iSCSI Initiator2.0
We share this folder and use DFS to replicate with another server (WIN2003 R2) at a different location.

All this worked like a charm until yesterday (for about two months) when we received complaints about duplicate content on the share.

Looking into the problem I've noticed the duplicate folders are only on the server in the local office and DFSR doesn't report any problems (which rules out a DFS problem right?).
The partition contains a couple of folders of which some, not all, are duplicate including the DfsrPrivate and System Volume Information folders.
The folders seem to point to the same storage location e.g. when I create a file in one of the folders it appears in it's duplicate folder as well.

Furhtermore the only difference in the duplicates I can find are create/access/write times.

I'm stuck here, my knowledge of both NTFS, iSCSI and DFS ends here and unfortunately google hasn't been kind this time..

After gatherring some (the data's on another server anyway) courage I ran CHKDSK /F on the volume.. this magically solved the problem!
