Question : Setup was unable to format the partition while using RIS
I have an Lenovo T-61 and I am trying to use RIS to install my Windows XPSP3 image. I get to the point where it asks me to format the Hard Drive I choose the partition it start the format then I get an error that Setup was unable to format the partition. The disk may be damage. The disk isn't damaged cause I used the restore disk and got the computer back to factory defaults. I think it has something to do with the Sata Drive. The hard drive is a 160gb drive.
Any ideas?

Hi, try this :
When booting your lenovo box hit F1 on the bios screen.
Enter the BIOS and disable "SATA"... don't worry your drive will still be recognized.
Retry your format...
