M/S Word 2003 sp3 Insert Autotext subfolders are all empty; Closing, Reference Initials, Salutation, Signature, all subfolders are empty. Appl. repair was attempted, reload of application did not resolve problem either...

It would seem like either something is wrong within your Normal.dot file or the AutoText entries were delete from the Normal.dot.

Try the following:

• Make sure Word is not opened 
• Locate the Normal.dot file (typically found in your
  C:\Documents and Settings\{username}\Application Data\Microsoft\Templates
  folder) 
• Rename the Normal.dot to Normal.bak 
• Open Word 

Do the sub-folders have AutoText entries listed in them?  If so, when you close Word a new Normal.dot file will be created and the AutoText entries should appear the next time you open Word.
