Question : Problem with Delete in MS Word 2003

Suddenly, for no reason I am aware of, pressing the Delete key (with no text selected) no longer deletes the character to the right of the cursor.
I have checked Customize -> Keyboard Commands, and EditCut shows as being programmed for the Del key. Which I assume is correct.

So what could the problem be, and how do I fix it?

Answer : Problem with Delete in MS Word 2003

EditCut should be Ctrl+X and Shift+Del

If EditCut and delete are not the same. remove the Del key from the EditCut assignment and reassign the two shortcuts above. That should fix it.
