Question : Windows 7 TPM issue
Hello All,
I'm attempting to activate bitlocker system drive encryption but my TPM seems to have some 'permission' issue, best I can tell. I've enabled TPM (trusted computing) in my BIOS but upon booting and examining device manager the TPM 1.2 has the 1.2 intel driver but "This device cannot start (Code 10). Windows event viewer is giving a "#14" error:
"The device driver for the Trusted Platform Module (TPM) encountered a non-recoverable error in the TPM hardware, which prevents TPM services (such as data encryption) from being used. For further help, please contact the computer manufacturer."
This feels like a permission issue, what am I missing here?
Hardware:
Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit
MSI x58Pro + TPM 1.2 + Core i7 920
ICH10R in RAID5 (3 volumes/4TB)
