Question : Adding AD Custom  User Attributes

I need to make changes to the custom user  attributes in AD and make them available for data population.
We are running 2003 Server
 

These fields need to be added.

 

Employee ID

Cost Center

HR Business Partner (HPBP)

What do I need to do to add these?  Thanks

Do you have Microsoft Exchange installed in your environment?  If so, you can make use of the extensionAttributes that are added to the schema when Exchange is installed.

Adding your own attributes to the schema isn't as scary as most people make it out to be, but if you've already got the extensionAttributes in place there's no reason to go out of your way to do so.
