Question : Terminal Services 2008
I tried logging into a clients Windows Server 2003 box using RDP. I received an error message saying something to the effect of not being able to log on because not having CAL license etc..
So after researching I found an article saying that the Server is probably a Terminal Server - so since I don't want to use this server as an application TS and just to remote into from home using RDP , I went into control panel add/remove Windows Components and removed (unchecked) both the Terminal Server and Terminal Server Licensing boxes and rebooted.
My question is - Will I now be able to RDP into the server from home? Doesn't MS allow two RDP connections by default without being a TS?
Thanks!
Answer : Terminal Services 2008
A Microsoft server does allow two RDP connections in administrative mode. If the server isn't running Terminal Services then you can still make two RDP connections.
