Question : How to upload a new version of the PDF file - Sharepoint Services 3.0?
I am planning to use WSS 3.0 as an engine for our Intranet website. We have a lot of PDF files that will be stored there. I see that it is fairly easy to upload files but I am having problems finding a way to upload a new versions of a file. How do I do that so I can also keep the old version but only the most current one is available to the public? Is it possible to do that?
Answer : How to upload a new version of the PDF file - Sharepoint Services 3.0?
Yes. You have to create a document library that has versioning turned on. Then you have to set the versioning so that a checkout is required to upload a new file.
