Question : LAN Based Desktop Sharing Solution?
For years, our company has used NetMeeting (XP being our standard platform) for desktop sharing for in-house meetings.
The Scenario: The corporate office conference room hosts a NetMeeting, shares the desktop and starts a powerpoint or does some kind of other demonstration on that computer. All branch offices launch netmeeting (on their conference room computer) and call/connect into the NetMeeting desktop share in the corp office. Those branch offices are now all watching the same desktop presentation. We use our own phone system for voice.
We are now looking to migrate to Windows 7, which of course no longer supports NetMeeting.
The beauty of NetMeeting was that it was FREE and when our branch offices connected, they were doing so thru the LAN/WAN and were not thru the Internet (like Webex, GoToMeeting etc. do)
Does anyone know of a good solution that would work in the above scenario?
Thank you in advance!
