Question : Difficulty uploading items larger than 1 MB
|
|
I recently created a website where our vendors upload various electronic documents (.pdf, .fnm, .jpg, etc.) so we can process files quicker. A strange problem has revealed itself: Files less then 1MB in size can be upload without issues, but if the file is larger then 1MB the website requests a username and password be entered. I have tested this issue both inside and outside of our LAN, and it trully does exist. My website sits on a Windows Server 2003 box and the website was created using Microsoft FrontPage 2003. The website is running on IIS 6. I have the website pemissions set to: Anonyous w/Contributor. I have spent the better of two hours looking over the website and server and cannot find anything that is causing this issue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!

There are tons of ASPupload components out there that you can use like ABCupload, SmartUpload, etc.... But I think also Serv-U just came out with a version 7 that supports web based uploads.
Yup, just checked it...they support it. http://www.serv-u.com/features/featurepage3.asp
We have been using this product for over 8 years, they rock!
