Question : Windows 7 users need help overcoming CRL for Security Certificate
We use a self-signed security certificate for our RDP servers. Users login from home, using TS Gateway settings, or direct by IP. We import the cert into Trusted Root Certification Authorities on remote desktops and laptops. This works fine for XP and Vista users, but not for Windows 7 Either way the Windows 7 users connects, they get the following error:
"A revocation check could not be performed for the certificate."
I can see there is no CRL info on the cert, which is why the user gets the error. I don't want to create a new certificate because of this. Is there a way to disable a security feature for Windows 7 users, or at least add something to "certificates local". to allow the connection to proceed?
Answer : Windows 7 users need help overcoming CRL for Security Certificate
MS helped me create a new certificat, which includes the CRL info Windows 7 is looking for. Windows 7 logins are working now
