Question : How do I calculate software availability in an Excel spreadsheet?
On the attached spreadsheet, I'd like to be able to calculate the daily availability/uptime for some software. I have been able to calculate the outages in minutes (F3) based on the time values in A3, B3, C3, D3. What I am having a problem with is calculating the percentage of availability(downtime/upti
me) for that day. Since F3 is set as a custom [mm] format, I am having an issue with this calculation. Could someone out there help me out? I've attached the spreadsheet which should show what I've done thus far. Thanks!

Hi,
Try the attached example. It includes a formula that converts minutes to a number.
