Question : Hiding Network Folders
Dear All
I have a current shared folder which is not hidden, but I would like to hide it as people are constantly moving and deleting files from this. The thing is all users need full access rights to it, i just want to hide it from most people, and allow access to only a few people?
Thanks
Answer : Hiding Network Folders
create a file share with $ as the last charecter. THis is a hidden share
for example users$
would be accessed by typing \\yourserver\users$ at a command prompt. You can also map drives to the "hidden" share.
