Question : CD/DVD not recognized in disk drive

My system (Windows7Ultimate) does not 'see' the CD/DVD inside the disk drive (CD/DVD RW).
Is there a way to detect and resolve the problem. Windows Troubleshooter doesn't give an answer.

Is there another disk you can try and use, to see if Windows7 see's that?

Does the disk work inside another computer?
