Question : RPC over HTTPs almost there....fails 1 test.

This is the step where it is failing

Attempting to ping RPC Endpoint 6001 (Exchange Information Store) on server mail.*.com
  Failed to ping Endpoint


Server 2003 with exchange 2003.  Server has SP2 and ESM has sp2.  I followed this guide

I had this working perfect for over 6 months, but I had to reformat my server this weekend.

i didnt manually change the ports in the registry, i used the program thatyou can download that makes the registry changes for you.

and yes, i did do a reboot.

i am hoping it is just a checkbox that i missed somewhere.

RPC over https works for me even though that last test fails.

i dont know...a friend of mine who is using RPC over https also ran the test pointing to HIS server and that last test fails for him as well.

oh well.
