Question : Access, non-print a null field.

In my data base I have a second address field which I seldom use. I allow for it in my reports, but would like to close up the fields on the address label, for example so as not to have an interceding blank line. How do you do this?

Answer : Access, non-print a null field.

Open the report in design view, click on the field, and open your properties sheet (the button that looks like a hand pointing at a sheet of paper on the toolbar). Scroll down until you see a property called CanShrink. If you set this to Yes, then if there is no data in the text box, it will disappear, in essence -- unless of course you have a label next to it saying what it is or something.

Hope that helps . . .
