Question : Windows cannot connect printer.  Access is denied.

New Vista laptop in workgroup with three XP Home pc's.  The three xp pc's are networked and can print from the printer.  The Vista is on the workgroup and can connect to shares on the pc that has the printer attached but gets the error when connecting to printer either by browsing to the printer or by entering it directly in the port connector.

Through MS config turned off all firewalls, all Symantec software, all other than MS services on laptop with same results.

Answer : Windows cannot connect printer.  Access is denied.

Disable UAC did not work either.  My solution is that Dell screwed up the load of Vista and it needs to be reloaded.   I probably won't know that for a long time since they moved in a local printer and are just working around the problem for not.  Thanks for all the help.
