Question : Microsoft Exchange hardware requirement

I am planning to move to exchange as our main unified communication, howerver I do not have strong experience in chossing the right hardware requirement. someone advise me that you need  6 servers
2 as front end
2 as back end  "Storoage"
and 2 as pop up
I have 1500 users and I am planning to give them a quota of 1GB per inbox
