Question : Hosted Exchange - possible to cache passwords?

Recently my company has decided to move to a hosted exchange server. It's set up for HTTP over RPC, and uses Basic Authentication over NTLM.

While testing it, I've noticed I have to enter my password in frequently, which can become a pain. I have tried saving the password via outlook settings, but have had no luck.

We are running in a Windows XP SP3 with Outlook 2003/2007 for our mail clients. Is it possible to cache/save passwords?

Answer : Hosted Exchange - possible to cache passwords?

Every time you connect is normal in my experience - not every time you send / receive.

Also, you should not need to send / receive with a hosted account, mail will arrive as and when it arrives, you cannot force it to download any quicker by sending / receiving.  It does not work like POP3 where you have to check from time to time.

The error with the address book means that they have not set you up properly on their side with segregated address lists so that you get a Global Address List for your own company.  Nice!!
