Question : Shared Printer will not Print
I have a printer (Dell 3100cn) shared off of a Windows 2003 Server that is acting as a Print Server. After I connect to the shared printer It will not let me print anything. It states that the Page has failed to print check the troubleshooter for help. I have have given the correct sharing and security permissions to myself as well as others. I can see the printer, ping it, etc. I can print from the server directly to the printer but that is all. The event viewer is not giving an error. Is the server not passing the correct information on to the printer?
Answer : Shared Printer will not Print
Just an initial thought, have you double checked the Windows Server firewall settings and made sure the exception for file and printer sharing is checked?
