Question : Subforms and bookmarks

I have a form with two subforms. After a user updates the information in the forms I need to requery so that the user will be able to use the next and previous buttons to see that record later. However if I requery or reapply the filter the subform takes me back to the first record. This is no good. Tried a bookmark and had no luck.
