Question : IIS Virtual Directory "A share located on another computer"
In a IIS virtual directory how the heck do you set up a share located on another computer?
I have the network share establish (see Receipts in the attached image).
But whenever I try
http://localhost/Receipts
I get a "Permissions" error!
I build the virtual directory using a local user (I can not use a user from the remote computer) and of course that user does not have permission on the remote computer.
What am I missing here? There is no Domain Controll but the computers are in the same Workgroup.
I have a share setup on the remote compter folder and I can access it from the local computer using File Manager.
Thanks for the help,
Ralph
Answer : IIS Virtual Directory "A share located on another computer"
I'm stumped - the error in the image is a typical IIS security error when the identity account of the application pool is incorrectly configured.
