Question : How do I prevent a SBS2003 computer rebooting with LSASS.EXE When trying to update a password the return status indicates that the value...

Have a Clients SBS2003 server rebooting with the LSASS.EXE "When trying to update a password the return status indicates that the value etc." message.

Problems started when they rebooted the server and started getting loads of COM errors. Found some info regarding problems with the DCOM configuration which could not be fixed using dcomcnfg on the main server as the DCOM was corrupted. Tried to run dcomcnfg from their Terminal Server but was getting "you do not have permission to do this" etc.

After several attempts and reboots the LSASS.EXE problem began.

Is there any way of fixing this error and returning to the original situation?

I Found a Solution to this problem on smallbizserver.net. Many thanks Wes Stuckey.

My own modification to Wes solution was to boot using UBCD4WIN and pressing F6 at boot to install DELL Perc drivers as UBCD did not appear to have them. My installation did not have the userdiff file in the repair folder.
Now to fix the original DCOM problems!!
