Question : DNS name resolution problems using IE or Firefox. Works when FQDN is used.
A separate application opens up IE and uses server names in the URL which cannot be resolved by DNS. If the FQDN is typed in or IP address, it can then find it. At each step in the application this is a problem and so is unusable. This also happens if Firefox is used instead. If the server name is ping it is resolved correctly without using the FQDN.
