Question : Office 2007 / Sharepoint v2 - Server document: to modify this document click Edit Document - ERROR

I upgraded to office 2007 and I am not able anymore to work on documents of our Sharepoint v2 site, I used to be able to just click the file, open work on it and save it back to the portal, now with Office 2007 and gives me unknown error that it can't save the file and wants to save it as a new one. Also I can see this message when I open word or excel doc

Server document: to modify this document click Edit Document

I click that but I get unknown error

any idea how to fix it?

Download the converter pack and save the documents in 2003 format
