Question : Sharepoint can't send mails from custom workflows

Hi Experts,

I've been trying to create a custom workflow for WSS 3.0 with sharepoint designer 2007.

All goes fine untill the "send mail" step.

The workflow history has this error message:
"The e-mail message cannot be sent. Make sure the outgoing e-mail settings for the server are configured correctly".

So, the first thing i checked where those settings, but everything looks fine (no problems with alerts etc.).
Next I deleted all lookup fields so the mail just contains the word "test" in the body and 1 recipient.

I've seen a lot of people with this problem, but haven't seen a solution yet, so I hope you guy's could help me out here.

Answer : Sharepoint can't send mails from custom workflows

I think i've found the solution.

The McAfee virusscan on the sharepoint server seems to block these mails with the option "block mass-mailing worms" (or something like this).

I'm just kinda confused why default sharepoint mails are concidered "safe" and my custom sharepoint mails are not?
