Question : WSUS for IT outsoursing clients (one WSUS for few companies)

Hello,
I am looking for solution to monitor update status of computers for all my clients (up to 50 companies). Most of them have Windows servers, I can deploy WSUS on them and then monitor one by one.
I would prefer to have WSUS server in our company and point all client computers to our server - there would be one place for all approvals, update status and so on. Internet consuption is not a problem.
I have read that WSUS is for internal company use only, does anyone know how should I use it our situation (it's prettty annoying to connect to 50 servers to check WSUS).

If you are trying to change the wsus server on the client you can do that either by using group policy (perhaps not in you case) or by changing it in the registry (  http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc708449%28WS.10%29.aspx ).
