Question : Pre-Filled Acrobat forms with data from Access

I have tables in access with client data.  I want to be able to click a button on a client record and have it open an acrobat form and pre-fill fields in the form with data from the access tables (things like client name, FEIN, Address, city, state, zip, phone, etc.).  Then I could either print or email that form through Acrobat.  Keeps me from having to fill the forms in and save one for each client and the data will always be current.  Can this be done, and if so, how?

Thanks,

Traigo

Answer : Pre-Filled Acrobat forms with data from Access

I asked a Q on how to loop through all fields in an Adobe PDF using Access VBA, and here was the answer...

Also, I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that you would bet better served asking these questions in the Adobe Acrobat TA, as they are more experienced manipulating Adobe .pdf files using VB-VBA then most Access developers are using JScript to manipulate Adobe files.

In the interim, I recommend you create a 20 point question in the Adobe Acrobat TA, same question title but with the prefix (Link), and copy-paste the URL from this question into that one.   That way, Adobe experts (who normally don't hang out in the Access TA) would be notified of your question, and respond.

Here's an example of a 'Linking' question:  http://www.experts-exchange.com/Web/Web_Languages/ASP/Q_21670999.html

Hope this helps.
