Question : How do I remove windows Encryption
I have a customer who has a few encrypted files tied to her user account on a network shared drive. The servers OS was corrupted and had to be reloaded but the data was intact. I recreated the user accounts and the domain as close to the original as I could but they have these encrypted files that they used to be able to open with their accounts that they now cannot. Is there any way of open these files?
Answer : How do I remove windows Encryption
Windows encryption is based off the user account associated with that file. If you recreated the domain, and in turn the users, I believe this data is gone.
