Question : SharePoint Services Site Image
|
|
I just installed Windows SharePoint Services on our server. When I go to edit the site image, it just gives me a " /_layouts/images/homepage.gif" path. if I hit browse to choose my own picture, it just brings up a text editor to put in a path.
I have no idea where _layouts or /images is, I can't find the correct homepage.gif anywhere on the hard drive in order to change the picture.
How do I choose my own site image ?

Answer : SharePoint Services Site Image

the path "/_layouts/images/" represents the following directory location.
"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\60\template\images"
U can place ur own site image in same directory like "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\60\template\images\yourimage.jpg"
and can change the site image to "/_layouts/images/yourimage.jpg" to display your image on site.
