Question : Sharepoint Moss Team Site vs Publishing Site

Have Sharepoint Enterprise
About the start from scratch and want to make a good decision.
As far as I know, there are two major division of sites in sharepoint moss. Team and Publishing.
Is that true?
If so what are the major differences and choice points between the Team sites and Publishing Site?

If you want to publish Information to Employees or others -> Publishing
If you want to let people work together, collaborate on stuff -> Team Site
