Question : Where can I find SYSTEM file?

I am running Windows XP Home Edition on my computer. The SYSTEM file has been corrupted. I tried the repair disc to no avail. If I were to just replace it with any SYSTEM file (as long as it is from an XP OS), would that work? If so, where could I find one or on the repair disc or anywhere on the net?

Are you getting the error that says: Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt C:\windows\system32\config\system?

You can also try Reimage Trial http://www.reimage.com/registration.php?trial=seven and burn it to ISO from another computer. This requires a Windows XP disk as well
