Question : Excel & mouse peoblems

In Excel one of my users will click the left mouse button and it will highlight the cells but it's like we don't let go and it will highlight all the cells that you move the mouse over and will constanly go down highlighting thousands of cells.

We removed the mouse and used just the touchpad of the laptop and it will do the same. Rebooted and looked at the mouse settings and any setting I can think of. Unable to get it to stop. you can type and or right click but once you left click it won't stop highlighting.

The solution is surprisingly simple. Press F8 and it will enable you to mouse click on the first and last cell in a range to highlight that range. Press F8 again to switch off that feature.
